Bakata was composed and recorded by Bongo B, Jahia Uncan and May Cinamoon in Timiza, southern district of Bogota at the Abya Yala studio in January 2020.

It is the first single from the Kassava Records label newly founded by two french beat makers & producers: Bongo B & Docta G. This title pays tribute to the indigenous Muisca people, the first inhabitant of Bakata (Bogota in Muisca) and to the current inhabitant of the capital and to their way of life.

It also marks the emergence of a very active and creative colombian dub scene like Jahia Uncan & May Cinamoon, artists of the El Gran Latido sound system and the collective Chié Sound. The visual is signed by the talented designer Yoda, also based in Bogota, Colombia.
